Lambayeque stirrup vessel from Peru, ca. 700 ï¾ 1300 AD. A lovely Lambayeque (Sican) stirrup vessel from Peru, ca. 700-1300 AD. It is 6-3/4ï¾ high and is adorned with the superbly detailed head of an individual wearing a crown. The chamber itself consists of a cube with a large vessel at each corner. This unusual example is highly burnished, and has strong mineral deposits. Ex Gallatin estate. Value range $500 - $750.
