Chimu Shaman Bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 -1450 AD. A large Chimu shaman bottle from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This crisply molded vessel is 10-1/4" high and features a shaman holding an object in a raised hand. He is wearing a fancy headdress and a tunic with ornamental fringe. The back side is decorated with a simple solar motif. That side also shows an interesting manufacturing flaw that was caused by a break/crack in the mold used to make this vessel. In excellent condition, with good mineral deposits. Ex Pachenko collection. Value range $500 - $750.
