KINGS of LYDIA. temp. Ardys – Alyattes. Circa 630s-564/53 BC. EL Trite – Third Stater (13mm, 4.66 g). Sardes mint. Confronted boars' heads (only the left visible) / Two incuse squares. Spier p. 332, 2 = Weidauer Series XIII, 55 = Boston MFA 1760 = Warren 1733 (A2/P3 & 4); cf. SNG Kayhan 1011 (hemihekte). VF. Well struck for issue. Very rare.
