MYSIA, Pergamon. Autonomous issues, circa 95-92 BC. Cistophoric tetradrachm (Silver, 28mm, 12.60 g 11). Basket (cista mystica) from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; between the snake heads, ΒΟ; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, thyrsos entwined by a serpent. SNG France 1718. SMG von Aulock 7467. A very pleasant toned coin, lustrous and attractive. Struck from very slightly weak dies, otherwise, extremely fine.
