PERSIA, Alexandrine Empire. Uncertain satraps of Babylon, c. 328-311 BC. Double Daric (Gold, 18mm, 16.64 g). Persian king, wearing kidaris and kandys, in the kneeling/running stance to right, with a quiver over his shoulders, and holding a short spear in his right hand and a bow in his left; behind to left, ΦΙ. Rev. Wavy-patterned oblong punch. Nicolet-Pierre 6. Sunrise 158 (this coin). Very rare. An unusually well struck and attractive example, lightly toned. Good very fine.
