Julia Domna, Augusta, 193-217. As (Copper, 25mm, 7.48 g 12), Rome, 212. IVLIA PIA FELIX AVG Draped bust of Julia Domna to right. Rev. CEREREM / S - C Ceres standing to left, holding, in her right hand, ears of grain over a low altar to left, and, in her right, long torch. BMC 220 var. Cohen 13. RIC 596. An attractive, sharply struck coin with an apple green patina. Some minor breaks in the patina on the reverse and some smoothing in the fields, otherwise, extremely fine.
