Heraclius, with Heraclius Constantine, 610-641. Solidus (Gold, 20mm, 4.48 g 7), Constantinople, c. 616-625. dd NN hERACLIUS ET hERA CONST P AVC Crowned, with cross on circlet, draped and cuirassed facing busts of Heraclius, on the left larger and bearded, and Heraclius Constantine, on the right smaller and beardless; between them above, cross. Rev. VICTORIA AVႺႯ Δ / CONOB Cross potent on base and three steps; in field to right, pellet. DOC 13 var. (pellet and officina unlisted). MIB 12 var. (with pellet but only with I as officina). S 738. An attractive piece, apparently unpublished with this officina and field mark. Some flatness and a die break on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
