IC XC Christ Pantokrator, seated facing on a square-backed throne, bearded and nimbate, wearing tunic and himation, raising right hand in benediction from the sling of his himation and holding a book in his left; border of dots. Rev. +ΜΙΧΑΗ ΑVΤΟ - ΚΡΑΤ ΡωΜΟ Δ‹ΟΥ›ΚΑ Michael standing facing, bearded, wearing divitsion, loros and crown with cross and pendilia, holding labarum in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. DOCBS 84, 12. Seibt I, 25. Zacos & Veglery I, 1, 35c var. An elegant and wonderfully preserved with a grey patina and some remaining earthen deposits. Extremely fine.
