SICILY, Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24mm, 16.85 g 10), 305-295. ΚΟΡΑΣ Head of Kore to right, wearing grain wreath and pendant earring. Rev. ΑΓΑΘΟΚΛΕΟΣ Nike, bare to the waist, standing right, attaching armor to trophy to her right, she holds a nail in her right hand and a hammer in her left; to right, triskeles of legs running to right; to left, monogram of ΑΝΙ. Ierardi 104. SNG Copenhagen 764. A lovely, lightly toned example. Extremely fine.
