MACEDON, "Aigai" = the Mygdones or the Krestones. Circa 485-470 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 11mm, 1.03 g). He-goat moving right, head turned back to left; in field above, pellet within circle; to right, pellet. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. SNG Copenhagen 28. A scarce variety. Nicely toned and very attractive. Extremely fine.
