Kantonalmünzenstempel sind -obschon sie zu tausenden hergestellt wurden- von grösster Seltenheit im privaten Handel. Es sind bis heute nur ein knappes Dutzend unterschiedlicher Nominale und Kantone bekannt, welche nicht in Museen aufbewahrt werden. Der vorliegende Stempel wurde so stark gebraucht, dass man ihn nicht weiter verwenden konnte, obschon das Münzbild eigentlich noch sehr gut gewesen wäre.

Cantonal coin dies, although produced by the thousands, are of greatest rarity in private hands. Up to today only a dozen are known of diverse denominations and cantons that are not kept in museums. The present die was employed so heavily that it could not be of further use, even though the coin depiction was still quite good.
