BRITISH 18th CENTURY TOKENS, George Hollington Barker, Silver Halfpenny, 1797, obv shield of arms, crest an armed warrior; G H B in ornamental script below, BIRMINGHAM HALFPENNY, around, rev figure of Justice standing, within a sunken oval, FACTA AEQUATO EXAMINE LIBERAT MDCC XCVII, around, edge plain (Conder p.318, 7; Atkins p.208, 44; D&H Warwickshire 68). Trifling brush marks, otherwise essentially mint state and attractively toned, exceedingly rare in silver.
