BRITISH 18th CENTURY TOKENS, Robert Biddulph, Silver Penny, 1796, obv bull facing left, HEREFORDSHIRE above, JUNE 3 1796 in exergue, rev apple tree and a plough within an oaken wreath, long handles on plough, the lower handle touches the wreath, edge plain (Conder p.45, 3; Atkins p.45, 4; D&H Herefordshire 4). Trifling brush marks, otherwise good extremely fine and attractively toned.
