BRITISH 18th CENTURY TOKENS, Hawkins Bird, Copper Halfpenny, 1793, obv tower and spire of a church, ONE HALFPENNY HAWKINS BIRD. around, rev front view of as building, date 1793 below, PAYABLE AT THE INDIA TEA WAREHOUSE around, edge plain, not in collar but rounded (Atkins p.177, 76a; D&H Somersetshire 88a). Spot of verdigris on the reverse, otherwise better than extremely fine and extremely rare.
