BRITISH 18th CENTURY TOKENS, Birmingham Workhouse, Plated-copper Two-Shillings and Sixpence, 1788, obv female seated, giving alms to an old man and a boy, a child kneeling by her side, countermarked with a W, rev cypher B W H, 1788 above, TWO SHILLINGS AND SIXPENCE around, edge plain (Atkins p.202, 1a; D&H Warwickshire 1a). Light contact marks, the plating thin in parts, otherwise extremely fine and rare.
