BRITISH 18th CENTURY TOKENS, John Hicks Boorman, Copper Halfpenny, 1795, obv Freemasons' Arms and supporters, crest a bird upon a sphere, AMOR HONOR ET JUSTITIA on a ribbon below, PRO BONO PUBLICO around, rev cypher I H B, pair of scales above, date 1795 below, EAST GRINSTEAD HALFPENNY around, edge PAYABLE IN LANCASTER LONDON OR BRISTOL (Atkins p.198, 21a; D&H Sussex 22a). A little verdigris in spots, otherwise good extremely fine with original colour and extremely rare.
