BRITISH 18th CENTURY TOKENS, George Hollington Barker, Copper Halfpenny, 1797, obv shield of arms, crest an armed warrior, G H B in ornamental script below, BIRMINGHAM HALFPENNY around, rev figure of Justice standing, within a sunken oval, FACTA AEQUATO EXAMINE PENDIT MDCC XCVII around, edge PAYABLE ON DEMAND in raised letters (Atkins p.208, 43; D&H Warwickshire 67). Minor spots, otherwise good extremely fine with a little faded red remaining, exceedingly rare, perhaps three examples known.
