Cnut (1016-35), Penny, 1.18g, Quatrefoil type, London, Brihtnoth, +cnvt rex anglorvi, crowned bust left of 'Lincoln' style within quatrefoil, rev. +brihtnoÐ lvi, long cross voided on quatrefoil with pellets on cusps, (N.781; S.1157), corresponding striking weakness above bust and with a couple of pecks to reverse, this metal of the highest quality with a very light hue, superb detail to bust and otherwise mostly struck-up, a strong nearly extremely fine.
