Henry VIII (1509-47), Half-sovereign, 6.14g, Third coinage, 1544-47, Southwark, m.m. e/s, king, bearded and crowned, seated facing on throne, holding sceptre, left, and orb, right, rose below, rev. crowned shield with supporters, e below, hr monogram in panel beneath (N.1828; S.2297), a generally weak strike, the metal somewhat bright, areas struck-up and on a large flan, nearly very fine for this.
