SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter. 281-261 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 16.91 g, 3h). Alexandrine types struck in the name of Seleukos I. Laodikeia mint. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, dolphin to left above monogram, monogram below throne. SC 357.6c; HGC 9, 125b; Houghton, Early, Series III, Group 21 (A27/P1) = WSM 1216 = BMC 11a. Near VF, toned, test cut on the obverse, a few light marks and scratches. Rare.

Houghton notes only one set of dies for this issue, and this coin is from that same set of dies.
