An exceedingly rare hybrid coin of Pontius Pilate struck by a pair of dies of two different types: GBC 1341 & 1342. This is the 10th example known (to see the 9 others, click: http://www.menorahcoinproject.org/pil-04.htm and scroll down to Section 2). Also note that this die combination is the most interesting because it shows the 2 cultic objects of Pilate - simpulum & lituus - on the same coin. Struck by the same pair of dies as the hybrid we offered 6 years ago, in our auction 6.
