Herennia Etruscilla. Augusta. Wife of Trajan Decius. A.D. 249-251. AR antoninianus. 3.22 gm. 22 mm. Rome mint. Her diademed and draped bust right, set on crescent; HER ETRVSCILLA AVG / Fecunditas standing left, holding cornucopia in left hand and right hand over child standing at her feet to left; FECVNDITAS AVG. RIC IV.3 55b (Trajan Decius). RSC 8. Good Very Fine; darkly toned/patinated (obverse appears lacquered--a 19th century practice). Intriguing example. Scarce.All three lots of the family of Trajan Decius are from the same collection and appear to have been laqcuered.
