ALBANIA. 20 Franga Ari, 1927-V. Vienna Mint. NGC MS-65.
KM-12. While Benito Mussolini provided nearly all of the financing for Albania during the rule of Amet Zog, there was always the insistence on Zog's part to play nominal allies off one another, hence the striking of some Albanian coinage (such as this coin) in Vienna. The coin depicts Skanderbeg on the obverse with the Lion of St. Mark on the reverse. A splendid example with soft glistening luster; a gem on all levels. NGC MS-65.
