CYPRUS. 1/4 Piastre, 1902. NGC MS-64 RB.
KM-8. First year of issue and a mintage of only 72,000 coins. Krause catalog value jumps to $850 in uncirculated (MS63) and the piece offered here is a full point finer. Mostly red with a vibrant portrait of Edward VII, struck the first full year he was king. The reverse shows somewhat wood grained tone with much underlying luster showing through. A terrific addition for the collector of British Commonwealth coinage, you won't be disappointed. NGC MS-64 RB.
