Pag-637; KM-1. King Umberto's portrait is a real superstar of Italian colonial coinage, a trait no less prevalent on this coin than the larger denominations of the era. One of just two examples at this grade with only three examples certified finer at NGC and PCGS. Clearly a leader in preservation the instant the coin is seen, with sharp crisp details all through the hair, portrait and reverse legends. Highly reflective fields that don't quite rise to the level of proof-like, but which provide outstanding contrast and depth to the piece. A real prize for the collector of this series. NGC MS-65.
