FRANCE. 100 Franc, 1855-A. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder.
Fr-569; KM-786.1; Gad-1135. From early in the reign of Louis Napoleon, 1855 saw the end of the "Waterloo Coalition" as France and Britain fought side by side in the Crimean War ending half a century of French containment in the years after Napoleon Bonaparte. After a visit to London in April of 1855 by Napoleon III, a reciprocal visit was made to Paris by Queen Victoria, the first British monarch to set foot in Paris in many centuries. Without question a condition rarity at this mid-grade mint state level. With the finest known only 2 points higher, the piece offered here is one of the few that have been preserved so nicely. Quite worthy of a serious bid. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder.
Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
