FRANCE. Masonic Tokens & Medals, ca. 1789-1813. VERY FINE-ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
16 pieces in lot. Masonic lodge and organization medalettes and tokens struck in bronze and silver from different localities in France and also includes two pieces from Britain and one piece from Spain. Of note is a lovely 1811 octagonal silver medal of Loge de L'Ardente Amitie de Rouen (Bramsen-1215) which is quite lustrous and only lightly handled, an 1809 silver medal from the Grand Lodge of Herodom (Bramsen-933) and an 1811 Lodge of Napoleon Grand Orient of Madrid silver medal (Bramsen-1150). An excellent lot for the collector of Masonic ephemera or of Napoleonic era Europe. All pieces are wholesome and problem free with most having only light evidence of circulation and handling and many featuring lovely old envelope toning. Retail value of about $1,800.
