From the early days of milled coinage, and by extension one of the first coins to show evidence of clashed dies, something not likely to have occurred prior to mechanization. Well struck obverse shows-off all of the portrait details, a bit weaker on the reverse. Even color, and without spots or other problems. An impressive piece from the period. NGC MS-62 BN.
