GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1818-LIX. George III (1760-1820). PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder.
S-3787; KM-675. Struck the year England and the United States signed the Treaty of 1818 establishing the 49th parallel as the northern boundary for much of the U.S. Also the first year of Pistrucci's reverse featuring St. George slaying the dragon. The coin offered here is sharply struck, with an amazing amount of detail rendered all through the king's hair and the reverse dragon. Medium cola colored tone atop highly reflective fields, with just a few scattered marks hardly worth mention. A magnificent example of the issue, and a coin that will add great prestige to any collection of crowns. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder.

Ex: Bowers & Merena August 2000, Lot #3245.

Estimate: $900.00- $1200.00
