GREAT BRITAIN. Jubilee & Coronation Medals, 1897-1937. EXTREMELY FINE-CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
BHM-3506(3); 3737(2); 4022; 4314. 7 pieces in lot. Nice assortment of Diamond Jubilee (Victoria) and coronation medals for Edward VII, George V, and George VI. Includes three of the 1897 Jubilee medals in red leather boxes, one each in 55 mm bronze, 55 mm silver, and 26 mm silver. The small silver, never issued in a presentation box, presumably is housed inside a box meant for the smaller gold issue. All three medals grading CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED. Also, a pair of 1902 medals for the coronation of Edward VII, 55 mm bronze (with box) and 31 mm silver (without box), both in CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED. Plus a 1911 George V bronze coronation medal in box, 55 mm, in CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED. And finally, a small bronze coronation medal for George VI, without box dated 1937 in EXTREMELY FINE. The medals are all problem-free, with a bit of shop wear on several of the boxes. An attractive assortment covering every major British royal event from 1897 until 1937. Retail value of about $750.
