Approximately 42 pieces in lot. An assemblage of pieces focused on the years surrounding and during the Napoleonic Wars. Includes pieces struck in white metal, copper, bronze, gilt-bronze, brass and silver ranging in diameter from 24.6 to 53.4 mm. Featuring motifs of military battles, political developments, civic improvements but most showing personages of the era including William Pitt, Kings George III and IV, the Marquis Cornwallis and Charles James Fox. In terms of preservation this collection runs the gamut with some of the more base metal pieces showing heavy circulation and handling in the form of rim bumps, scratches and cleaning with some of the bronze medals showing little wear or handling and one of the medals is contained in its original copper shells. An interesting group sure to please those interested in this hallmark era of history and well worth closer inspection. Retail value of about $2,500. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
