GUATEMALA. Peso, 1879-D. PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder.
KM-200. Mintage of only 10,000 pieces, Date at top right on the reverse and small wreath. Stands alone as the second finest graded with a single other example finer (MS-64). The coin offered here has a thin line of turquoise color tone along the rims with darker root beer color tone across the remainder of the surfaces. Nicely struck with no major marks to speak of, the coin is well prepared to join a collection of the finest Guatemalan coinage available. Iridescent toning and quite attractive.
