KOREA. Forty Years of Reign Commemorative Medal, 1902. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
33.35 mm; 15.20 gms. Barac-B-2; Peterson-239/40. Silver. Obverse with the Hall of Benevolent Administration and reverse with Korean Crown and 7 line inscription: "THE IMPERIAL KOREA / HIS MAJESTY THE EMPEROR / IN COMMEMORATION OF HIS 40 YEAR REIGN / AND TO PRAY FOR 60 ADDITIONAL YEARS OF HIS MAJESTY'S LIFE / COMMEMORATIVE SILVER MEDAL / KWANG MU 6th YEAR, 10th MONTH, 18th DAY". Original silver loop and clasp removed, with negligible damage to the medal. Tiny hole in edge where the loop was once attached. No ribbon. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
