MEXICO. Five Piece Type Set, 1717-32. Philip V (1700-46). FINE-VERY FINE.
Cal-type-142#764; 175#1029; 212#1269; 259#1587; 286#1830. Includes: 1/2, 1, 2, 4, and 8 Reals. Nicely matched type set with all of the coins having an "F" assayer initial except the 1/2 Real which is assayer "J". Dates in ascending order, 1717, 1731, 1731, 1731, with the 8 Reales being dated 1732 and including countermarks from the Dutch East Indies colony of Sumenep located in Malay. The 4 Reales has been holed. The coins have an appealing original look, and are fairly representative of the issues, with the countermark 8 Reales being exceptionally desirable in its own right. Approximate retail value of $900. Inspection advised. Sold As Is, No Returns. Grades: FINE-VERY FINE.
