MEXICO. 8 Escudos, 1802-FT. Charles IV (1788-1808). NGC AU-55.
Fr-43; Cal-type-8#56; KM-159. A more available type and date as Mexican 8 Escudos go, but seldom will you find one with a strike this nice. An amazing example, with absolutely no weakness anywhere in the design, particularly in the coin centers that habitually show-up weak in most other specimens. Add in minimal amounts of wear and a sensational mint bloom coming from the fields, especially on the reverse, and the end result is a highly desirable example of the type at this grade level.
