MEXICO. 2 Escudos, 1815-JJ. Ferdinand VII (1808-33). NGC AU-55.
Fr-55; Cal-type-56#233; KM-134. Tied with one other piece for finest graded at NGC and PCGS. Struck at a time when Mexico was fully embroiled in the War of Mexican Independence and while it looked like the Royalists still had a chance of prevailing. A highly luminous example with copious amounts of original mint-state flash, especially at the perimeters and recessed portions of the reverse devices. Wear consistent with the assigned grade which doesn't compromise the level of detail present. A coin with full claims to the assigned grade, and which will greatly enhance the collection it enters. NGC AU-55.

From the David O'Harrow Collection.

Estimate: $1000.00- $1500.00
