PERU. 8 Escudos, 1754-LM JD. Ferdinand VI (1746-59). NGC AU-58.
Fr-20; KM-59.1; Cal-type-7#21a. Tied with 3 other pieces for finest graded at NGC with none seen at PCGS. First year of issue, and the most valuable of the 7 dates the type was struck according to both Calico and Krause. Terrific bright color that shimmers with unimpeded luster, the surfaces exhibit splashes of olive and apricot transparent tone that adds character and personality to the piece. A single bag mark in the lower portion of the reverse shield is the only abrasion worthy of mention. Sharp never-dropped rims, a sure winner for the bidder who prevails at the hammer. NGC AU-58.
Estimate: $4500.00- $6000.00
