PERU. 100 Soles, 1951. NGC MS-64.
Fr-78; KM-231. For many years this issue traded as a bullion coin, until collectors came to realize just how scarce the 100 Soles coins were in the higher MINT STATE grades. Their massive weight (1.3544 AGW) insured most were heavily bag marked leaving few pristine examples surviving today. The 1951 dated coins are no exception, with a mintage of 8,241 coins, the number extant at this level is very limited. Well struck, with blazing lemon-drop yellow surfaces. NGC MS-64.
Estimate: $1800.00- $2000.00
