PERU. 100 Soles, 1964. NGC MS-64.
Fr-78; KM-231. For many years this issue traded as a bullion coin, until collectors came to realize just how scarce the 100 Soles coins were in the higher MINT STATE grades. Their massive weight (1.3544 AGW) insured most were heavily bag marked leaving few pristine examples surviving today. The 1964 dated coins are no exception, with a mintage of 11,000 coins, the number extant at this level is very limited. Well struck, with dazzling bright luster, most will agree the coin is at the very high end of the assigned grade. NGC MS-64.
Estimate: $1800.00- $2000.00
