PERU. 100 Soles, 1965. NGC MS-62.
Fr-78; KM-231. For many years this issue traded as a bullion coin, until collectors came to realize just how scarce the 100 Soles coins were in the MINT STATE grades. Their massive weight (1.3544 AGW) insured most were heavily bag marked leaving few pristine examples surviving today. The 1965 dated coins are no exception, with a mintage of 23,000 coins, the number extant at this level is very limited. A few trivial light handling marks, a very solid coin for the assigned grade with bright vibrant luster. NGC MS-62.
