PERU. 100 Soles, 1967. NGC MS-63.
Fr-78; KM-231. For many years this issue traded as a bullion coin, until collectors came to realize just how scarce the 100 Soles coins were in the MINT STATE grades. Their massive weight (1.3544 AGW) insured most were heavily bag marked leaving few pristine examples surviving today. The 1967 dated coins are no exception, with a mintage of 6,431 and far fewer submitted for grading than many of the other dates, the number extant at this level is very limited. Well struck with dazzling bright luster, very solid for the assigned grade. NGC MS-63.
