ROMANIA. Pattern 100 Lei, 1939. NGC MS-63.
Stamb-171-1.1. Gilt bronze. Quite scarce regardless of variety, with a solid gold example realizing more than $60,000 at auction within the last few years. While not quite as rare, the gilt version is highly sought after as well, and almost never encountered in this choice condition. The gilt is virtually free of injury with the only abrasion worthy of mention on the king's cheek. Much like the other pattern 100 Lie coins offered in the sale, a coin worthy of inclusion in the most advanced collection of Romanian Imperial coinage, and sure to draw considerable interest as it crosses the auction block. NGC MS-63.
Estimate: $3500.00- $4500.00
