ROMANIA. Pattern 100 Lei, 1940. NGC MS-62.
Stamb-180-1.1. Gilt bronze. Commemorating 10 years of rule. Quite scarce regardless of variety, with a solid gold example realizing more than $32,000 at auction within the last few years. While not quite as rare, the gilt version is never the less highly sought after and almost never encountered in such nice condition. Arguably the best reverse design of the three pattern coins offered in this sale, the gilt is completely intact save for a light scratch across the king's head. Much like the others, worthy of inclusion in the most advanced collection of Romanian Imperial coinage, and sure to draw considerable interest as it crosses the auction block. NGC MS-62.
Estimate: $3000.00- $4000.00
