RUSSIA. 15 Ruble, 1897-AT. PCGS MS-63.
Fr-177; Y-65.2; Bit-2; Sev-562. Narrow Rim. Unlike the much smaller 5 Ruble coins from the early 20th century that can be found as high as MS-66 before any grade premium kicks-in, the 15 Ruble coins are quite SCARCE at this grade level, with neither PCGS or NGC having seen an example better than MS-65. In the grades just below that, the population numbers are relatively thin as well, making coins like this one in MS-63 much SCARCER than commonly believed. Solid for the grade, with terrific frosty luster and a sharp strike. A coin that won't disappoint. PCGS MS-63.
