SPAIN. 8 Maravedis, 1815-J. Jubia Mint. Ferdinand VII (1808-33). NGC MS-64 RB.
KM-461. Stands alone as the finest graded example at both NGC and PCGS. The Jubia Mint, located in far northwest Spain on the border with France, saw heavy mintages for a brief period during the Peninsular War, which pitted Napoleon against nearly all others. Coinage was limited to copper issues such as this 8 Maravedis. After the war, mintages dropped and ceased altogether a few years later. The example here in our opinion is a truly museum quality piece without peers. NGC MS-64 RB.

Estimate: $350.00- $500.00
