MIXED LOTS. World Crowns & Minors, ca. 1581-1938. FINE-UNCIRCULATED.
Approximately 85 pieces in lot. A nice representative sampling of world coins, with crown-size issues from Austria (1603), Latvia (1932), Sardinia (1847), Egypt (1916), Peru (1834), China (1927), Great Britain (1889), French Indochina (1900), Netherlands (1939), Belgium (1875), and an extensive selection of Mexican material. The French crowns include an 1810-A, 1822-W, 1828-D, 1847-BB dated 5 Franc pieces. From Mexico, about half a dozen Cap & Rays issues along with a pair of 1866 Maximilian Peso coins, plus a 1910 Peso. Mexican portrait 8 Reales dated 1790, 1794, and 1818 add further types. Minors include several nice British types, an Elizabeth I silver Shilling, a 1731 George II Half-Crown, and a pair of 1797 large 2 Pence coins. Double Tournais dated 1581 from France and a choice 1911 Russia 50 Kopek add a little spice. The lot also includes several very attract pieces of exonumia, a 1911 George V Marriage Medal among them. Approximate retail value of $2,800. Inspection advised. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. FINE-UNCIRCULATED.
