40 pieces in lot. A rich and diverse grouping of European plaques and medals ranging in size from 27 to 80mm with most pieces 40mm or larger. Primarily of the 19th and early 20th Centuries, these medals commemorate a wide range of topics and include, in addition to the expected copper, brass, white metal and silver pieces, specimens in wood and leather as well. Perhaps half are French, with most of the other larger western European nations also represented. Retail value exceeds $2,000. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. Average condition EXTREMELY FINE.
