MIXED LOTS. Medals & Exonumia, 18th-20th Century. FINE-UNCIRCULATED.
17 to 59 mm. Approximately 39 pieces in lot. World-wide accumulation containing mostly copper and other base metal medals, with a few other items such as Roman bronze coins of Constantius tossed in as well. Perhaps the best portion of the lot is comprised of a grouping of European cathedral medals from Wiener's classical architectural series. Also, a shell-type medal of Pope Clement VII as well as an especially attractive 1734 jeton of Charles Emmanuel of Sardinia featuring a swarm of bees following their queen. Other notable pieces include a Swedish medal (by J.C. Hedlinger) of King Charles XII, along with a silvered 1915 Peace Award of Austria's Empress Elizabeth, already dead 17 years at the time of issue. Also, nine pieces from Dassier's "Roman Series" (1743), plus other interesting and enigmatic pieces. Typical wear on some pieces with a few bearing scratches , rim bumps or other surface issues. Retail value exceeding $1,500. Inspection advised. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. FINE-UNCIRCULATED.

Estimate: $700.00- $900.00
