SYRIA. Seleukid Kingdom. Lot of (9) AR Tetradrachms, ca. 281-96 B.C. NGC VF to Ch EF.
A grouping of NGC certified silver coins, including Tetradrachms (7) and Drachms (2). The seven rulers present are Antiochus I, Seleucus II, Antiochus III, Antiochus IV, Demetrius I, Antiochus VII and Antiochus VIII. Nearly half of the coins in this grouping are of fine style, most are bright and without toning. Only one minor issue is present, a small test cut but hardly detracts from the overall beauty of the coin. In sum a wholesome grouping worthy of inspection. Retail value of about $1,800.
