CANADA. Royal Bank of Canada. 20 Dollars, 2.1.1909. P-S1375A. PMG Very Fine 25 Net. Minor Restoration.
A rare offering on this issuer which was formerly the Merchants Bank of Halifax until the name changed to the Royal Bank of Canada in 1900. This 1909 dated piece also shows the freshly adopted locale of Montreal and exhibits a strong blue color with seated woman with lion at center. PMG has graded only a small handful for the catalog number with none breaking the Very Fine grade range. The present example is with just minor restoration and all the appeal of a mid-grade note is certainly had here. PMG Very Fine 25 Net. Minor Restoration.
